I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist. I work with Individuals, Couples, children and families. I am also a clinical supervisor and honorary university lecturer.

In addition to working Us In Therapy, I am a Highly Specialist Counselling Psychologist within a Medical Psychology Service. My main focus has been working within NHS services that support people living with chronic and complex health conditions such as neurological conditions, chronic pain, diabetes, specialist weight management and bariatric surgery. The main focus of my work is supporting people and their families with the psychological adjustment to these health conditions and to help negotiate the complexity of health care systems. This work has given an insight into the relationship between physical health and mental health across the lifespan which fascinates me.

In addition to this I work as a senior clinical staff member, lecturer at Teesside University on the Clinical and Counselling Psychology Doctorate.

My training and education involves; Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Teesside University, Certificate in Psychosexual Therapy with Tavistock Relationships (University of East London), Certificate in Adult Bereavement Counselling, Certificate in Child Bereavement Counselling, University, Postgraduate diploma in Psychology and BSc Sociology with Psychology, of London. I have attended CPD training in; Clinical Supervision (University of East London) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Workshops in Neuropsychology for Counselling Psychologists, Weight Stigma, Compassion Focused Therapy, Psychological Approaches to Obesity (BDA) Behaviour Change Skills and Interpersonal Mindfulness (Mindful London).
