I am a qualified couples therapist and have undertaken additional training to become a psychosexual therapist. I work part time as a visiting clinician for Tavistock Relationships, which is an internationally renowned organisation providing training and therapy services to support couples, individuals and families. Between 2019 – 2021 I have been working as an Honorary Psychosexual Therapist for the NHS Sexual Health Clinic at Croydon University Hospital.
Prior to becoming a couples therapist I worked in the NHS for some 20 years as a Nurse, Midwife and Specialist Health Visitor. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with patients, clients and families from very varied and diverse backgrounds, and led to my becoming interested in people’s relationships particularly in relation to family life. I currently work as a member of a specialist parenting service at Tavistock Relationships providing support to families.
My training and education includes – MA Couple and Individual Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy; PG Dip Psychosexual Therapy; MSc Community Health; PG Dip Community Health Nursing – Health Visiting; BSc (Hons) Midwifery; Diploma Nursing.
